Deja Vu

The group was formed on July 2006 after the break-up of three local bands: Ethan, Emerald and Josef were previous members of 6 Days to Friday; Ro and original bass player Rey were from Soundcheck; and Jeff was from Kuua. Seemingly, the coincidental break-ups were a driving force in the creation of DÉJÀ VU, and the members, being long-time friends and “jamming buddies”, decided it was destiny at work. Later on, Rey was replaced by seasoned bass player Egai. In 2010, Egai was replaced by 6 Days to Friday’s bass player, Jerrick who was later replaced by Vlads in 2011.

The band aims to give acoustic music a fresh yet a more robust sound with jazzed-up arrangements of classic and pop-jazz favorites that go from soothing to playful. Whatever the song is, DÉJÀ VU delivers with jazz and class.

DÉJÀ VU is composed of Ethan Ventura on guitars and musical direction, Jerrick Afaga on bass guitar; Josef Ventura on drums; Jefferson Coronado,  Emerald Ventura, and Rowena Quintos on vocals.

Presently, the band plays regularly at Forest House Bistro on Saturdays.
